Very good. Based on the theme from TV show Dragnet. (Joe Monday is a guidance counselor.) High interest, keeping a humorous theme throughout the video while investigating career planning and training. There is a wide range of career options without college.

Very Good.  Solid information about Fox Valley Technical College serving people for 30 years in Calumet, Outagamie, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago counties.  The main FVTC campus is located in Appleton.  Near the Appleton campus is the Transportation Center and the Agricultural Center.  The J.D. Bordini Center is located across the street, for Printing and Graphic Arts.  The Fire Training Center is in Neenah.  In Oshkosh the Riverside Campus with the Business Technical Center and the S.J. Spanbauer Center providing Aviation, Metal Manufacturing, Wood Technics and Residential Construction.

Very Good. This video takes you through the entire process of getting back into school, and gives a number of resources to help you do so. It reassures that college campuses consist of more non-traditional students than ever before. If you can make the decision of going back to school, then the hardest part is already over.

Very Good.  The video describes different programs that can be completed in less than two years.  You can earn a technical certificate on the way to an associate degree that may help you get a job before you are finished with school.  Certificate programs can be completed in a few months.  Different occupations that use this certification are listed.

Good. The video describes the differences between an internship, co-op, and apprenticeship. It takes you through each experience one by one, showing the benefits of each one. In the end, students will better understand each program, and figure out which one is best for them.

Very Good. This program interviews young adults participating in a variety of apprenticeships. Good video for high school students uncertain about post-secondary options.

Excellent. This video is a must for high school students entering college. Information and suggestions concerning dorm life, roommates, the classroom, taking notes, studying, and reading skills can lead to a successful first year in college.

Succeeding Without College: Skilled Technical Careers (Film Ideas, Inc. 2000©) HS / Adult – 18 minutes (VHS or DVD)
The video outlines a number of ways people can obtain a successful career through different types of training. It explores the advantages of apprenticeships, an arrangement between an employer and employee to provide paid job training. The military is explored to gain paid training, experience and benefits. It also shows how those job skills are transferable into the civilian world. Finally, the video discusses the advantage of an associate degree whose emphasis is learning the technical skills as it relates to the business world.
