Very good. The video shows a personnel director speaking to a group of five people representing a wide range of ages, abilities and interests, about how to present themselves effectively in a job interview. All five of the learners in this video are adults; some students may have difficulty seeing the relationship of the video content due to the adults depicted.

Very good!  Senior college students start the show by discussing interviewing and entering the work force.  An interview is shown with weaknesses and then how to correct them.  The host is dry but the interview is done well.  Effective ways to overcome common fears and become skilled at interviewing successfully are discussed.  Gives a good example of an interview.  The interviewee first shows weak responses.  Those are discussed and then a stronger interview is shown.

Excellent. This video offers a workshop on job interviewing skills. The presentation involves students reviewing sample interviews, role playing interview situations, and hearing from experts in the field of interviewing techniques. Good program for first time job seekers.

Topics discussed include personal appearance, disorganization, non-verbal messages, tardiness, verbal clarity, self-deprecation, etc.

Very good. The video states that there are six necessary steps in the interview process called the “Six P’s”. They are Preparation, Practice, Presentation, Powerful Interview, Post Interview, and Ponder the Position.

Excellent. Very interactive approach using a “stop tape” approach for teachers. Viewers can participate in evaluating four separate students applying for a part-time job. Four areas of the interview are open to students to evaluate. Students are left making their own decisions, as the interviewer portrayed in the video does not make a final decision.

Very good. What happens in job interviews can help people get jobs they really love. But interviews can also earn or cost people thousands of dollars or leave them unemployed. The video emphasizes things that can be learned and improved quickly to make the most difference in the interview.

Very good. The narrator reviews the five parts of an interview: the opening, the question and answer portion, the job explanation, the salary negotiation and the closing. In each section, the narrator points out what the interviewer is looking for and the negative and positive aspect of each. A vignette is used to demonstrate both approaches to each portion of the interview.
