Work permits are available from the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce receptionist; Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Questions about permits can be directed to 920-720-0406.
The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce building is located at 125 N. Superior St., (corner of Washington & Superior Streets, across from the Post Crescent & AT&T Telephone Company) behind the Copperleaf Hotel.
Cost is $ 5.00
Bring your certified birth certificate, baptismal record, I-94 card, driver's license, state identification card, passport, resident alien card or temporary driver's license.
Bring your social security card. If you do not have one, you can
obtain it from the Social Security Office at 607 W. Northland Avenue. Ask for a numident printout from Social Security which can be submitted. You must ask them for this printout.
Bring a letter from your new employer stating their intent to hire you, a brief description of the job you will be doing, and a general statement of the hours you will work. A work permit is needed for every employer who employs you.
Bring a letter from your parent or guardian giving you permission to work. Your parent/guardian may sign their name right on the employer's letter.
You or your parent/guardian may obtain the permit provided they have the above information.
Work permits are also available at Appleton East, North & West High Schools, Appleton Park & Recreation Department, ADVOCAP, Kaukauna High School, Kimberly High School, Little Chute High School, Neenah City Hall, Neenah High School (only during school year), Outagamie County Youth & Family Services and Youth Go.
